Simple isolation transformer isolates one circuit from another circuit
with common magnet circuit. Such a transformer exhibits proper
working in electrical wiring circuits, low gain circuits, or insensitive
instruments. However, such transformers fail while working with high
gain circuits or sensitive instruments, because noise potential between
the primary circuit and the ground affects the secondary circuit due to
it’s high capacitive resistive coupling between it’s windings.
In normal practice, the faraday Shield, ‘A grounded single turn of
conducting foil’, between windings is used to divert much of the primary
noise to ground. But the noise can still couple with the secondary
circuits because of the electrostatic field around the shield causing
serious problems.
Nitel Ultra Isolation Transformer is designed to provide the solution to
this problem. It uses unique multiple shielding technique, exhibits very
low coupling capacitance and very high D.C. Galvanic isolation. It has
only a fraction (about Ten Thousandth). The noise leakage of an ordinary
transformer.
